If you or your client can’t generate a market report, it’s usually caused by missing input details, an unsupported property type, or an expired session with the AI assistant.
Fortunately, most report issues can be fixed quickly by following a few key steps.
Common Causes & Fixes
🧭 1. Missing Property Type
Every market report requires a property type (e.g., house, condo, townhouse).
The AI uses this context to generate pricing, market insights, and local data correctly.
How to fix:
- Go to the Reports tab in your dashboard.
- Type a location into the search bar (e.g., “Chelsea, London”).
- Select the property type before clicking Generate Report.
If you skip this step, the system won’t know which dataset to use — and the report won’t generate.
💬 2. Report Command Not Recognized in Chat
When generating a report through the AI Assistant, make sure the request includes both a location and a property type.
✅ Example prompts:
- “Generate a market report for condos in Culver City, California.”
- “Show me a detailed report for houses in Marbella, Spain.”
If the AI doesn’t respond, refresh the page and try the same request again — expired chat sessions can occasionally cause timeouts.
🌐 3. Slow Network or Data Timeout
Market reports pull real-time data from multiple third-party sources (for pricing, schools, crime, and amenities).
If your network connection drops during the process, it can interrupt generation.
Try:
- Refreshing the Reports tab and generating again.
- Ensuring a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
- Checking your VPN or firewall if using a company network.
🔒 4. Expired Login Session
If you’ve been logged in for a while, your session may expire quietly in the background — especially if idle.
You’ll still see the dashboard, but requests to generate reports will fail silently.
How to fix:
- Log out of HomeHunter.
- Log back in.
- Try generating the report again.
📍 5. Unsupported Location or Incomplete Data
Some locations — especially in newer or less-mapped markets — may not yet have full market data coverage.
In those cases, HomeHunter will show a “data unavailable” or “could not generate report” message.
If you encounter this:
- Try a nearby major city or region (e.g., “Lisbon” instead of “Sintra”).
- Report the missing location to contact@homehunter.global.
Quick Checklist
☑️ Property type selected
☑️ Valid location entered
☑️ Active internet connection
☑️ Logged into HomeHunter
☑️ Not using unsupported region
