If youâve invited a client but their search history or favorites arenât appearing in your dashboard, it usually means the connection between their extension, account, or agent link hasnât fully synced yet.
This can happen for a few common reasons â and each has a simple fix.
Common Causes & Fixes
𧊠1. Client Hasnât Registered Their Account Yet
Even if a client has downloaded the HomeHunter extension, you wonât see their activity until theyâve fully registered and accepted the terms of service.
How to check:
- Go to your Contacts tab.
- Look at the Invite Status column â it should say:
- â Contact Verified â youâll see their data.
- âł Invite Sent / Invite Opened â they havenât registered yet.
What to do:
Encourage your client to complete their registration using the same email address they received the invite link from.
đ 2. Extension Not Installed or Active
If the client hasnât installed or enabled the Chrome extension, their browsing canât be captured.
Ask them to:
- Visit the Chrome Web Store and install the HomeHunter extension.
- Make sure itâs enabled under
chrome://extensions
. - Browse any supported real estate site (e.g., Zillow, Zoopla, Fotocasa).
- Verify that the HomeHunter widget appears on the page.
If they donât see the widget, refer to the âExtension Not Capturing?â article.
đ 3. Client Browsing Under a Different Account
Some clients use multiple email accounts across browsers. If they downloaded the extension but registered with a different email than the one you invited, their data wonât link to your dashboard.
Solution:
Ask them to check which email theyâre logged in with by opening the HomeHunter widget and confirming their account email under Settings â Personal Information.
đ 4. Client Browsing Unsupported Portals
HomeHunter supports most major real estate portals, but some new or niche sites might not yet be compatible.
If your clientâs browsing history doesnât appear after visiting a site, ask them to:
- Try a supported portal (e.g., Zillow, Rightmove, Idealista, Realtor.com).
Our engineering team continuously adds new portal support based on these reports.
Quick Agent Checklist

âď¸ Theyâre on a supported portal
âď¸ Youâve refreshed your dashboard to sync updates
Still No Data?
If none of the above fixes the issue, reach out to support with both your and your clientâs email addresses:
đ§ contact@homehunter.global
Include:
- The clientâs registered email
- A brief note on whatâs missing (e.g., browsing history, favorites, or both)
- The last known invite status shown in your Contacts tab
Takeaways:
- Client data only appears after registration and extension activation.
- Always verify invite status and email match first.
- Unsupported portals or inactive extensions are common culprits.
- Support can help verify data sync if all else fails.
