Sometimes a homebuyer may find themselves connected to the wrong agent — for example, if they were assigned through the round-robin system, used an old invite link, or entered an email incorrectly.
HomeHunter makes it easy for clients to correct this directly from their Settings page.
How Clients Can Fix It
Clients can update their agent connection anytime from Settings → Agent Selection.
đź§ Steps to Remove the Wrong Agent
- Go to Settings → Agent Selection in the sidebar.
- Locate the agent currently displayed.
- Click the trash can icon next to the agent’s name to remove them.
Once removed, that agent will immediately lose access to the client’s browsing history and favorites.
🔍 Add the Correct Agent
After removing the incorrect agent:
- Use the search bar at the top of the Agent Selection screen.
- Type the new agent’s name or email address.
- Select the correct agent from the results to reconnect.
The connection updates instantly, and the new agent gains access to the client’s HomeHunter activity once they accept.
What Agents Should Know
- When a client removes you, your access to their browsing data ends immediately.
- You’ll no longer see their name or activity in your Contacts dashboard.
- Clients can reconnect with you at any time using your invite link or by searching your name in Agent Selection.
